Feeling Blue (patterns) – SS17 Pt. VI

March 22, 2017

Sometimes one common colour is the best way to pull an outfit together. Whether we were sad or not today, we were definitely feeling blue. This ensemble pulls Eastlogue and Universal Works together for a springtime short suit look. Different Shades of blue often play off each other to put emphasis on the detailing that you’re rocking.

Eastlogue’s indigo patch pattern works different size dots together to create unique details for spring summer 2017. Whether it’s partnered with another piece from the same run or not it’ll add a different feel to your fit. Here we paired the Eastlogue bucket hat with the button down to build some solidarity between pieces. The shirt is a slim fit with a neat button collar detail. The asymmetrical pocket on this one looks great on the pattern for an added feature. To keep our blues in line, the Universal Works Bakers jacket in indigo comes through to be a statement. The large brown buttons are a subtle drop of contrast that draw focus plus, this jacket is so easy to wear it should be illegal. The relaxed fit, cut from waffle cotton, will look even better as it wrinkles and forms to you over the course of the day.

The final compliment for this look comes in the form of the Drawstring short from Oliver Spencer. The indigo dyed cotton rocks a washed look and adds a slightly different blue shade to the overall look. These have an internal drawstring that keeps them clean, but has the tools at your disposal if that summer lunch was a little too heavy.

Throw a clean pair of trainers to complete this one.
