We love Monitaly. They consistently put out must have pieces giving new life to classic American silhouettes. The exclusive ‘Vancloth & Sons’ fabric created exclusively for them, is a 100% cotton water repellant poplin that be dressed up or down. It softens with age giving your Monitaly clothes a feel thats unique to the wearer.
For a monitaly spring/summer look we employed the Dropped lapel blazer, Hammer tee, and Utility short. The blazer uses a slightly oversized fit to create a casual look, and open up layering opportunities. It can be dressed up or down, and by using the Vancloth and Sons fabric it repels any drippings that may be in store for the coming months. The olive shade gives a little contrast to those bright colours we will be seeing lots of come warmer days. The Utility shorts are Air Force pilot inspired. They use traditional military pocketing, like cargos on the thigh, button flap closures on the rear and seam stitched patch pockets on the front. With the help of the Vancloth and Sons fabric on these as well as the blazer, it keeps the look consistent for a modern short suit look perfect for summer.
Underneath, the Monitaly Hammer tee uses traditional t-shirt construction with high quality details that make it much better than your average white-tee. It uses the Vancloth and Sons fabric on an a-typical breast pocket with a double opening and pen holder. A side slit and elongated tail complete this simple yet great t-shirt.
A sweet summer shoe option is this pair from Doc Martens in collaboration with United Arrows. This classic Doc styling is updated with an elastic side gusset and a clean ‘milkshake’ suede. The sole on these will carry you through those summer city hikes.
To tie this look together we employed some accessories from Garrett Leight and Timex. The Hampton in champagne frame and green peel lenses use a modernized version of a classic shape. Garett Leight uses high quality materials that keep their glasses really lightweight. On wrist, the Timex camper in green is a great price point for what it gives you. A nylon strap with a high-vis dial gives you comfort for the warmer days and just might have you checking your watch more than usual.
