Sage de Cret | FW20
Uncle Otis

September at Uncle Otis means only one thing…the drops just don’t stop.

This week the shop received our Sage de Cret collection straight from Japan. Maintaining a focus on reviving and reimagining military and workwear staples of the past, this Japanese brand is steadfast on sewing ever-satisfying styles. With autumn in mind, we were sure to order an outerwear heavy arrangement featuring three coats suited to the settings of the season.

Scanning the photo’s above, the first outfit we see presents Sage’s Convertible Collar Coat in a beautiful polyester blend. This piece is unquestionably highlighted by its fabric, carefully crafted to reflect fluctuating flecks of whites, browns and beiges throughout. Lined in a comfortable olive cupro, this coat is constructed with two internal pockets, and two large flap pockets so you’ll have ample space to hide away your phone, wallet, and hands from those frosty days.

The following image shows Sage de Cret’s 100% wool Trench Coat in a dapper, dark olive. An amazing top layer to elevate any outfit, this polished piece features a simple flap pocket design, with a placket-hidden four button closure. Fully lined in a smooth black cupro, this coat can be adjusted using its buttoned back-cinch to modify your silhouette.

On the bottom left we see another Convertible Collar Coat, this time in navy, from two vantage points. Weather resistant due to its nylon shell, the coat is insulated by a beige wool blend which can be seen wrapped around the underside of its collar. The collar itself can be worn down, or uptight against the neck secured by a button closure.

Last, but definitely not least, pictured on the bottom right is Sage’s Shirt Jacket shown in a gentle beige. This light jacket is composed of a cotton-linen blend and stonewashed to evoke a worn-in, vintage vibe. Jet pockets sit at the sides of the garment, while bellow pockets are skillfully melded to the chest. Wear this piece as an outer layer on milder days, or integrate it below one of the heavier coats in the collection when the winter cold hits.
