Practices and Capacity
As of March 22nd 2022 there is no capacity limit nor are masks mandated. However, you are more than welcome to wear a mask while shopping in-store. We still kindly ask that everyone maintains a safe social distance when possible.
To ensure our safe environment for you at Uncle Otis we will clean all hard surfaces throughout the day. Staff will practice good hand and respiratory hygiene.
We will provide hand sanitizer at the entrance of the store along with a garbage bin to dispose of any PPE before or after your visit. A bathroom located at the back of the store will be offered upon your arrival. Most recent studies have stipulated that Covid-19 does not thrive on porous surfaces such as animal hair or clothing and transmission via those means are very low. For additional precautions we will be steaming all garments after they have been tried on. The high temperature of the steamer greatly reduces the ability for viruses to live on the surface of garments.
In order to reduce close contact between customers, we have laid out a directional path within the store. Adhering to the directions of the path will ensure a safer experience for all.
At checkout, we will indicate an X for you to position yourself at. The measured distance between the front end of the desk to the back end of the desk is a safe 3 feet away.
In accordance to Toronto By-Law: 541-2020 all individuals entering the store must be wearing a face mask or cloth covering. If you have forgotten one and you need to pick up an online order we can easily bring your order to the door and check ID. We appreciate your cooperation in the matter.
We kindly ask that anyone who is feeling unwell or sick to visit us online.
