The Osaka by Kardo is their take on a Kimono jacket featuring a front tie closure and two waist pockets. The craft version of this Osaka is constructed from Kardo’s upcycled textile scraps by Paiwand Studio. After being cut into fine, even stips and organised into patterns, Ashita Singhal from Paiwand uses handlooms to weave the upcycled strips into the jacket.
These jackets crafted by Kardo are handcrafted, hand cut, stitched, and finished from beginning to end by traditional Indian tailors. The details of who was involved in each process are featured on the interior provenance tag.
