Returns & Exchanges

Thank you for visiting Uncle Otis; we truly appreciate your patronage and continued support of our independent boutique. To ensure we can continue providing you with a curated selection of high-quality goods, we have outlined our shipping and returns policies below.

As an independent business, we kindly ask for your understanding that we are unable to make exceptions to these policies.


 

1. Returns & Exchanges

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. While we do not provide refunds, we are happy to offer alternatives to ensure you find the right piece for your wardrobe.

• Eligibility: Regular-priced items are eligible for store credit or an exchange of size/product.

Timeframe: For in-store orders, 7 days from the date of purchase. For online orders, you have 7 days from the date of delivery to initiate the return process. After this period, the sale is considered final.

Condition: All returns must be unworn, unwashed, and have all original tags attached.

Inspection: Please note that all returns are subject to a thorough inspection before store credit or an exchange is issued.

 

2. Final Sale Items

To maintain our inventory, certain items are ineligible for return or exchange:

All discounted or "Sale" items are Final Sale.

Any items purchased using a promotional code are Final Sale.

We do not offer price matching, and promotional codes cannot be applied retroactively to previous purchases.

 

3. How to Initiate a Return

To begin a return, please email us at info@uncleotis.com to receive a Return Authorization (RA) and specific shipping instructions.

Important Shipping Note: All return packages must be clearly marked as "RETURNED GOODS" on the outside of the box. Any duties or brokerage fees incurred by Uncle Otis due to improper labelling will be deducted from your store credit or billed directly to you.

4. Shipping & International Duties

Shipping Rates: Please be advised that shipping rates provided at checkout are estimates. Depending on the final size or weight of your order, additional shipping charges may apply.

Duties and Taxes: For international orders, duties and taxes are determined by the recipient's country and are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. These fees are not included in the product price or shipping cost.

 

5. Local Pickup

For our local customers selecting the "In-Store Pickup" option, we ask that orders be collected within 10 days of the purchase date.

Shipping & Delivery Support

We know how frustrating it is to be excited about a new arrival, only to find that your package hasn't turned up as expected. Whether it’s a missed delivery or a package that’s gone missing after drop-off, we truly empathize with the headache this causes.

While we wish we could oversee your order until the moment it’s in your hands, Uncle Otis is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once they have been handed over to the carrier.

To help ensure your items arrive safely, please keep the following in mind:

  • Double-Check Your Address: All orders are delivered to the exact shipping address provided at checkout. We cannot be held responsible for packages delivered to an incorrect address if it was entered incorrectly during the ordering process.

  • Secure Delivery Locations: If you know you won’t be home, we recommend using a work address or a secure pickup point to minimize the risk of theft.

  • Track Your Journey: Use the tracking link provided in your shipping confirmation email to monitor your package’s progress and prepare for its arrival.


What to do if your package is missing:

  1. Check with neighbors or building management: Sometimes packages are left in a "safe spot" or accepted by someone nearby.

  2. Contact the carrier: The courier will have the most up-to-date information on the driver’s route and GPS delivery coordinates.

  3. File a claim: If the package is confirmed lost or stolen, you will need to file a claim directly with the shipping provider.

International Duties & Taxes

Customs policies vary widely by country. For all international orders, duties, taxes, and import fees are determined by the destination country and are the sole responsibility of the purchaser. These charges are not included in the product price or the shipping cost at checkout.

Please Note: If a shipment is refused due to unpaid customs fees, a 20% restocking fee will be applied to your refund after all applicable shipping charges and return fees have been deducted.
