Engineered in Japan through a specialized garment-dyeing process, the CRAG 2-Way Rucksack blends classic military utility with high-density textile innovation. Built to adapt seamlessly between a back-carried rucksack and a top-handle tote, this piece captures Porter’s signature balance of rugged structure and lightweight functionality.
High-Density Nylon-Cotton Back Satin: Crafted from a custom 50/50 nylon-cotton blend woven into a dense back-satin structure. The synthetic nylon delivers lightweight tensile strength, while the natural cotton yarns lend a tactile, soft hand and long-term aging potential.
Kurashiki "Two-Bath" Product Dyeing: Each bag is fully sewn before entering a two-step dye process (Niban-Zome) in Okayama. Because nylon and cotton react to different dye formulations, the dual-bath method creates deep, multi-tonal color depth, subtle seam puckering, and a crisp, paper-like hand feel unique to every individual piece.
2-Way Adaptability: Equipped with padded, adjustable shoulder straps for rucksack carry, along with heavy-duty top grab handles for tote-style transport.
Reinforced Base Architecture: Features zig-zag stitched nylon webbing across the bottom panel, providing structural rigidity and allowing the bag to stand upright without adding unnecessary weight.
Functional Storage System: Designed with multiple quick-access exterior pockets for everyday carry items and a spacious main compartment lined with acrylic-coated nylon ox for smooth interior protection and water resistance.
