For Vince and Donnell our two buyers at Uncle Otis, Paris is a great opportunity to meet the designers and get insight on the collections as a whole. In January we were fortunate enough to also dine with Yuki Matsuda of Yuketen and two brothers who operate a small bespoke footwear factory in Italy.

Yuketen now offers a small range of premium footwear made from the generational Italian factory. The Salvia Boot is made from Italian Tosca Pebbled Leather made specifically for Yuketen. Inspired by classic 90’s American workwear it offers a soft padded ankle collar, with an original Cortina sole. The boot is crafted from 360° channeling welted Goodyear construction, storm leather welt, hand channel leather insole, and wood shank.

This boot is timeless in style and will last generations. The cortina sole is easily replaceable after years of wear and the leather can be polished and waxed to extend the life of the boots.
