At the heart of these trousers is orSlow’s proprietary Japanese cotton back satin, custom-milled in Hyogo Prefecture on low-tension vintage shuttle looms. By intentionally exposing the smooth, woven reverse side of the satin on the exterior, the fabric reveals a rich, slubby texture characterized by subtle horizontal striations. Out of the box, the heavy-duty 100% cotton weave carries a sturdy structure that rapidly softens with wear. As it undergoes repeated washes, the olive-green dye ages gracefully—developing high-contrast fading, puckering along the seams, and a distinct personal patina akin to raw selvedge denim.
